What pairs as perfectly as peanut butter & jelly, salt & pepper, or classic pepperoni & cheese? Helicopters and snowshoes, of course! Introducing our Heli Alaska Snowshoe Adventure, where you’ll be whisked away by helicopter to a breathtaking snow-dusted landscape near the iconic Knik Glacier.

After soaring above the treeline on a thrilling flight, you’ll head into an alpine wonderland with sweeping views of the scenic Knik River Valley. Listen to fascinating insights from your expert pilot and guide as you soak in the majesty of Southcentral Alaska’s most picturesque sights.

Upon arrival at your destination, you’ll step out and strap on snowshoes, ready to explore Alaska’s pristine wilderness. If you’re new to snowshoeing, no worries—our expert guide will share tips to get you comfortably “shoed up” for the adventure.

For the next 1.5 hours, you and your guide will roam through a snow-blanketed paradise, stopping to capture stunning photos of anything that catches your eye. When the adventure winds down, you’ll hop back aboard the helicopter for a thrilling return ride, taking in fresh perspectives of the breathtaking Knik River Valley.

Provided are the trekking poles and snowshoes, of course! Winter gear available for use if needed.

Experience Requirements:

None required, but you should be able to walk at least 3 miles on flat pavement, or 2.5 miles of uneven rolling terrain over the course of 2 hours. Some parts of the trail are steep and hilly, placing additional stress on areas of the body not impacted by level terrain.

Not recommended for those with cardiac or respiratory issues/illness. May be difficult for those with severe joint issues. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will accommodate you with a different snack option.
